this outfit was worn on my family's annual day cruise through the Maine islands. this year it was extremely cloudy but it was still a good time. dave came with us for the first time and i was so glad he got to see the beautiful Maine coast. if yo uare ever in the portland area, you should definitely check out the Bailey Island Cruise through Casco Bay Lines.
i went with these colors because i wanted to feel nautical (of course i am nuts like that) and i thought it would be hot. it ended up be freezing so i am glad i brought my sweater!
this is in front of the boat. i think he looks pretty great too. maybe i should do outfit posts on him...
so my tip for dressing nautical...
don't be too cheesy. if you wear stripes, wear a bright pink or yellow accent instead of red. if you stick to the nautical colors (navy, white, yellow, and red), than go with different prints to keep yourself from looking like a wanna-be sailor.
